You might have thought that no one would really need to feel sorry for Ford.
At 110 years of age and ascribed by Forbes magazine as the “most important industrial company in the history of the United States”, you may have thought that was a pretty good track record.
But, that was in the day before “GOOGLE”. Now, your success, your achievements, your importance in society all appear on the first 3 pages of Google. If you’re not there, you’re not anywhere.
So, search: “FORD”, and see what comes up. Right now, other than ads, you will see 10 entries per page:
The Ford Motor Company sits in positions 2, 4 and 10.
Positions 16 and 18
Position 28 (even though that’s the Ford Foundation, I’m giving it to them)
Now, who do you think ranks #1 as FORD and dominates the first 3 pages of Google?
So, that’s truly the new FORD brand!
That also means, if somebody has to work on their brand, improve their image, get a proper media campaign and push up their Google rankings, it has to be the Ford Motor Company.
