Transactions in 2017 Up Almost 11% in Toronto
Everyone seems to say that there are a “shortage of listings”, that there is “no supply whatsoever” and that “no one wants to sell”. This is true to a certain extent, but let’s just look at the number of transactions in the first quarter of 2017 compared to 2016.
22,483 First Quarter
25,239 First Quarter
There were 2,756 more transactions undertaken this year through the Toronto Real Estate Board than in 2016, that’s a 10.92% (almost 11%) increase.
We obviously need more inventory, but with the price growth that we have seen, those new listings should soon arrive.
This will be an interesting month.
